Going to Utah for a Cheesburger

Family Road Trip

So my wife and I were watching an episode of Guy Fieri’s Diners Drive-Ins and Dives when we saw a great looking burger joint in Roy, UT called “Burger Bar”.

Half jokingly, my wife said “We should go there for your birthday”

Before we were married and before we had 3 kids, “half jokingly” was all the incentive we needed to jump in the car and embark on a road trip.

Now as a “party of 5”, our spontaneous road trips are few and far between.

So while driving from Sacramento, CA to Roy, UT for a cheeseburger sounds like a crazy idea for many people, to us, it seems more like a return to the good ol’ days :)

That’s the most exciting part about this trip for me. Getting back into having “journeys” in a whole new way. This time, as a family of 5 instead of a table for 2
